A WARN notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development says that as of June 2, Walmart is eliminating 201 jobs at its Pedricktown distribution center in Salem County.
The big box company will lay off hundreds more workers in California, Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas, according to Reuters.
Walmart recently adjusted staff levels "to better prepare for the future needs of customers,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.
